College basketball is starting.
The talk of the sports world is squarely in hoops land as it is the first day of the season. However, it’s always recruiting season when it comes to college football.
On Tuesday night, Maryland got its first good news in quite a while:

Dino Tomlin, a 3-star WR from Pittsburgh, Pa., verbally committed to Maryland. Tomlin is a 6-foot, 165-pound recruit who has a pretty well-known father among football circles.
His father, Mike, is the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. If Mike Tomlin knows anything well, it’s wide receivers. The Steelers have had a number of impactful pass-catchers during Tomlin’s tenure, including two of the best in Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
If Dino Tomlin is anything like Brown or Smith-Schuster, the Terrapins will be celebrating mightily.
With Dino Tomlin’s commitment, Maryland’s 2019 class now ranks No. 70 nationally and No. 13 in the Big Ten. The class consists of 10 members.
