Michael Locksley is having a monster day, a 2-3 record not stopping the Maryland head coach from another monster recruiting class. His latest haul features Branden Jennings, a four-star linebacker.

And not only is Jennings a blue chip recruit, he committed to Maryland after flipping from Michigan, signing with the Terrapins on Wednesday at the start of the Early Signing Period. Quite the statement from Locksley and his staff, despite a difficult season.

Jennings is the seventh-best outside linebacker in the nation according to 247Sports, one of the best players out of the Jacksonville, FL region this year. He’s the No. 109 prospect in this recruiting class.

Maryland came into Wednesday’s Early Signing Period with the No. 18 recruiting class in the nation. Locksley, hired last year, cobbled together the No. 31 recruiting class in the nation in just a couple of weeks. This year’s class puts them in the top half of the Big Ten in terms of recruiting.
