Maryland lands 2024 commitment from in-state DB

Maryland finished the month of June on a recruiting hot streak. The Terrapins’ momentum on the trail appears to have carried over into July.
On Saturday, Mike Locksley’s program picked up a new commitment for its 2024 class. The latest pledge comes from an in-state defensive back.
Charles Herbert Flowers standout Lloyd Irvin III announced on social media that he is staying home to play for Maryland. The Upper Marlboro native was also considering Wisconsin and West Virginia.

Irvin is listed as measuring 6-3, 175 pounds. On the 247Sports composite ratings, Irvin is rated 3-stars, the No. 33 Maryland product, No. 115 cornerback and No. 1,256 prospect overall nationally in the Class of 2024. Irvin has collected 16 scholarship offers during his recruitment.
