On Thursday, Maryland coach D.J. Durkin announced the additions of transfers Marcus Lewis and Rayshad Lewis.

Marcus Lewis will have two years of eligibility remaining and Rayshad Lewis will have three.

Marucs Lewis spent the last two seasons as a defensive back at Florida State. Lewis played in 12 games, making five starts for the Seminoles. As a sophomore in 2016, Lewis recorded 21 tackles and two pass breakups while missing the final five games of the season due to an injury. Coming out of high school, he was a 4-star recruit.

Rayshad Lewis comes to Maryland after one season at Utah State. As a freshman wide receiver for the Aggies last season, Lewis caught 40 passes for 476 yards, which are freshman records at Utah State. Lewis is the son of former Baltimore Ravens All-Pro and two-time Super Bowl champion Ray Lewis.

Both will sit out this season due to NCAA transfer rules.
