Maryland is working to improve its 2023 recruiting class, but the Terrapins lost one pledge on Friday.

The decision comes from Nasir Addison, a 3-star wide receiver who had been committed to Maryland since October. The 6-foot-1 prospect is rated the No. 20 overall player out of New Jersey for the class of 2023 and holds offers from across the country.

Addison has added offers from Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Akron and Duke over the spring. It will be interesting to see where Addison winds up to begin his college career.

“After days of evaluation and weighing my options with my family I understand that the decisions I make now and in the days to come will be life-changing for myself and my family,” Addison wrote via Twitter “…Furthermore with the support of my family I will be de-committing from the University of Maryland and reevaluating the scholarship offers I’ve currently received.”
