Maryland may have beaten Texas last Saturday, but the Terrapins suffered a major loss while in Austin.
On Tuesday, Roman Stubbs of the Washington Post reported that Maryland starting QB Tyrrell Pigrome suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2017 season.

Pigrome twisted his knee on a run at the end of the third quarter. True freshman Kasim Hill will be the starter in Week 2 when the Terrapins host Towson.
Pigrome performed well in the season opener against Texas, completing 9-of-12 passes for 175 yards and also rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown. Maryland went on to beat the Longhorns 51-41.
