Maryland, Michigan B1G’s only teams to punch NCAA Baseball Tournament tickets
The NCAA Tournament bracket is set. Two teams from the B1G will get a shot to compete for a national championship.
On Monday, both Maryland and Michigan heard their names called to make the Field of 64 for this year’s NCAA Baseball Tournament. The Terrapins will host one of the 16 regionals after claiming the B1G regular season title. The Wolverines earned an automatic bid after winning the B1G Tournament on Sunday.
Michigan was slotted in the Louisville Regional. The other three teams in the field include Louisville, Southeast Missouri State and Oregon.
The Wolverines are scheduled to open the NCAA Tournament against the Ducks. Michigan closed out the season with a 32-26 record.

Maryland is the top seed in the College Park Regional and will open up play against Long Island. UConn and Wake Forest will also be in the regional.
The Terps were 45-12 during the 2022 campaign.

The B1G only had one other team even mentioned as a potential candidate to land in the field. Rutgers was listed as one of the First Four Out during Selection Monday.
