Maryland names players of the week after close Week 3 loss to Michigan

Maryland nearly came away with an upset win over Michigan at the Big House, but the Wolverines held serve and improved to 4-0 with a 34-27 win.
On Monday, the Terps revealed their players of the week following the defeat against the Wolverines. CJ Dippre received a nod on offense after 3 catches for 49 yards and a late touchdown. Caleb Wheatland, with 4 tackles, was the defensive player of the week, while Chad Ryland, who made 2 field goals and an extra point, was the special teams player of the week.
It was the Terrapins’ 1st loss of the season as they fell to 3-1, but they will look to get back on track as Michigan State visits College Park on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on FS1.
