And then there were two.
Michigan’s 8-2 loss to Central Michigan on Saturday meant the Wolverines were bounced from this year’s NCAA baseball tournament after playing in just two games. UM lost its opener to UConn 6-1 to be put into elimination status on Saturday.
That means there are just two B1G teams left in the field and both will face elimination on Sunday.
Maryland posted a big victory over Norfolk State, winning 16-0 to get the opportunity to play again Sunday. The Terrapins dropped their first game to Charlotte 13-10 on Friday night. Now those two teams will go head-to-head in a rematch at 12 p.m.
Nebraska lost its first game of the tournament on Saturday, falling 5-1 to Arkansas. The Huskers posted an 8-6 win on Friday to start the tournament 1-0, the only B1G team to get a victory on the first night of the tournament. Nebraska will now take on New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
