Maryland receives unfortunate blowback for debut of gold uniforms in Week 10

Maryland has a new uniform combination on display in the Week 10 game vs. Penn State. Unfortunately, that combination is not having the desired impact on fans.

Facing the Nittany Lions at home, the Terps hit the field wearing a bright gold jersey to go with black pants and a black helmet. The gold jersey is complete with black names and numbers outlined in red to go with red, white and black shoulder stripes.

While a lot of thought and detail might have gone into the uniforms, the combination appears to be a miss for most fans. Only a few comments on social media have appreciated the look while others have called the look “horrendous,” “gross,” and “horrible.”
