A Maryland forward has decided to explore his options outside of College Park for his final season on the hardwood.

Emily Giambalvo of the Washington Post reported on Monday that redshirt junior Joshua Tomaic has entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal. He has spent the last four years with the Terrapins but is exploring other opportunities with one year of eligibility remaining.

Tomaic has been primarily a reserve player for the Terps and appeared in 16 contests last season, averaging 1.1 points and 0.5 rebounds per game. Maryland claimed a share of the B1G regular season title in 2019-20.

Tomaic saw the floor often as a redshirt freshman in the 2017-18 season, appearing in 26 games with one start. He averaged 2.2 points and 1.4 rebounds while seeing nearly nine minutes per game.

For his career, Tomaic has participated in 62 games and averages 1.3 points per game. As a graduate transfer, he’d be immediately eligible for the 2020-21 season.
