Maryland sets school record with second consecutive blowout to start 2019

The 2019 season is off to a roaring start for Mike Locksley and the Terrapins.

Maryland kicked things off in Week 1 with a 79-0 dismantling of Howard. The offense was certainly impressive, but some wondered if the Terrapins could continue their hot streak against stiffer competition.

Well, Locksley and company answered that question with flying colors Saturday. In Week 2, Maryland took on No. 21 Syracuse and blew them out by a final score of 63-20. The Terrapins rushed for 354 yards and controlled the action all game long.

So just how impressive is this start for Maryland? Well, Saturday marked the first time in school history that the Terps have scored 55 or more points in back-to-back games.
