After a strong season at Maryland last year, Aaron Wiggins has decided to enter his name into the 2021 NBA Draft. He will, however, maintain his college eligibility for a chance to return next year.
Friday, Wiggins made the announcement with a social media post. College basketball players get the opportunity to declare for the draft to have their game evaluated, and can still return to school if it’s in their best interest.

During the 2020-21 season, Wiggins played in all 31 games for the Terrapins and averaged 14.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 44.6% from the field. It was his best season statistically in all three categories.
Wiggins established himself as a high-level scorer in the B1G last season and was a big reason for Maryland’s late push into the NCAA Tournament. Both Wiggins and Eric Ayala played well down the stretch.
In his three seasons in College Park, Wiggins is averaging 11 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists. He has appeared in 96 career games for the Terps.
