Out for the 2019 season after tearing his ACL in an early-August practice, Maryland Terrapins wide receiver Jeshaun Jones sent out a positive message regarding his rehabilitation on his Twitter account on Tuesday:

A product of Fort Myers, Florida, Jones burst onto the scene in 2018 by accounting for a receiving, rushing and passing touchdown in his first game – a 34-29 upset victory over the Texas Longhorns at FedExField in Landover.

All told, he caught 22 passes for 288 yards (13.1 AVG) and five scores as a freshman. Also a threat in the running game, he carried the football 18 times for 173 yards (9.6 AVG) and another two touchdowns.

Sans Jones, Maryland’s offense has struggled to the tune of 28 points per game, 71st among FBS programs. A classmate of Jones’, Dontay Demus Jr. leads the Terrapins with 33 receptions for 517 yards (15.7 AVG) and five scores.

Looking to snap a five-game losing streak, Maryland (3-7) hosts Nebraska (4-6) at 3:30PM ET on Saturday on BTN.
