If Maryland’s practice on Thursday is any indication of his potential, Maryland tight end Corey Dyches could be a sophomore sensation.
The 6-foot-1, 219-pound Dyches made the play of the day with an outstanding one-handed reception that has Maryland fans buzzing:

Dyches appeared in two games for Maryland last season.
Dyches being super athletic is no shock when you consider he also excelled at basketball in high school. Dyches was MVP of the DMV Tip-Off Classic in 2020.
Dyches was selected first team All-Met for both football and basketball in high school, according to Fan Nation. That made him the second athlete to ever do that, since Deontay Twyman in 2006-2007.
Maryland is coming off a 2-3 season in the shortened 2020 campaign. Maryland kicks off the season with a home matchup vs. West Virginia on Sept. 4 (3:30 p.m. EST/ESPN).
