Fourteen Maryland football players will wear a slightly different uniform the rest of the season.
Maryland Athletics announced it’s placing a “graduate” patch on each graduate student athlete’s uniform this year. Eight players on last week’s depth chart were graduate students, but coach Mike Locksley hasn’t released a depth chart for this week’s game against Howard.

The Terps defeated West Virginia in Week 1 behind a strong showing from quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa. He completed 26 of 36 passes for 332 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead UMD to a 30-24 victory.
Now, Maryland will return home to face Howard in a primetime matchup at Capital One Field. Kickoff is set for Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. ET on the B1G Network.
