The University of Maryland’s athletic department has released the latest numbers from its COVID-19 testing.

On Tuesday, Emily Giambalvo of The Washington Post reported that Maryland’s latest round of screenings came on July 20, when 192 student-athletes, coaches and staff were tested. Of that group, there were no positive results.

In total, Maryland has administered 737 tests and has received just 12 positive results.

Just over two weeks ago, Maryland halted all voluntary football workouts after its testing results for COVID-19. Earlier this month, the athletic department administered 185 tests and there were nine positive results.

A handful of B1G programs — including Indiana, Michigan State, Rutgers and Ohio State — have halted workouts due to results from COVID-19 testing. While there have been some bumps along the way, this is some good news out of College Park.
