Maryland football doesn’t get a lot of chances to brag about its alumni very often. But the Terps have a chance to talk about themselves right now.
On Sunday, we learned that Maryland has not one but two receivers currently in the NFL with more than 1,000 yards. Those two players are Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills and D.J. Moore of the Carolina Panthers.

Technically, this was true before Sunday as both of these players were in action on Saturday. Regardless, it’s still a real bright spot for this program. Recruits will notice that as well. Also, wearing No. 1 and playing wideout for the Terps seems to lead to some long-term success.
Diggs, who was in College Park from 2012-14, is tearing it up for the Bills this season as they’re officially headed toward the postseason. Through 14 games, Diggs has 111 catches for 1,314 yards and five touchdowns.
Moore, meanwhile, also has been a key piece to his team’s offense in Carolina. The wideout, who played for the Terps from 2015-17, has racked up 56 catches for 1,055 yards and four touchdowns.
Diggs has certainly captured more attention with the Bills doing so well, but Moore’s accomplishment is nothing to snub. These two former Terps are certainly earning their paychecks this season.
