Well, at least we know where Maryland coach Mike Locksley stands on Lavonte Gater’s Week 3 ejection.

Gater was called for targeting when he left his feet and went helmet-to-helmet with Illinois QB Brandon Peters in the Terps’ win over the Illini. It was one of the most obvious targeting calls you’ll ever see. But FOX College Football’s Twitter account tweeted a video of the play and asked if it was targeting “or nah.”

Locksley had an all-time response to that question.

What an answer.

Maryland managed to hold off Illinois and pulled off the 20-17 win behind another big night from Taulia Tagovailoa. The junior QB threw for 332 yards and 3 touchdowns on 26-of-36 passing to help Maryland come away with the victory.

Hey, you have to give Locksley credit for not mincing words — and apparently teaching his grandma about targeting.
