Matt Painter recorded win No. 400 at Purdue Friday night with the Boilermakers’ dominant performance against Nebraska. The Boilermakers left no doubt, downing the Cornhuskers 73-55.

This marks win No. 1,900 for the Purdue basketball program as a whole. With the win, Painter becomes just the 5th B1G coach to complete the feat at just one school, joining Michigan State’s Tom Izzo, Indiana’s Bob Knight, Illinois’ Lou Henson and Purdue’s Gene Keady.

Painter is 262 games from Knight’s B1G record of of 662 wins.

There are a lot more wins in Painter’s future, especially this season. The Boilermakers are a top 3 team in the country, having won all but 1 game this season.

Purdue is 5-1 in the B1G and 16-1 overall, with its only loss coming by 1 point against Rutgers. Purdue plays next on Monday against Michigan State.
