Matt Rhule addressed the crowd at Pinnacle Bank Arena as Nebraska hoops prepared to take on No. 4 Purdue. The new Huskers HC fired the crowd up.

Rhule comes to Nebraska from the Carolina Panthers in the NFL and explained what makes Nebraska a special job. Rhule stated that Nebraska is not just another coaching job and that it’s a mission for himself and his coaching staff to rebuild the program.

“This is not just another coaching assignment,” said Rhule. “This is a mission for us.”

Rhule definitely has his work cut out for him. Nebraska’s last winning season was in 2016 when the team went to the Music City Bowl against Tennessee. Since then Husker football has been difficult to watch for the fans.

Nebraska’s first game under Rhule will be on Aug. 31, 2023 against Minnesota. Fans will get to see how a Matt Rhule coached team looks in Minneapolis.

It could take a lot for Nebraska to return to its former glory, but it looks like Rhule is ready to take on the job.
