Washington is a solid receiver for Nebraska and has totaled 8 receptions for 176 yards this season. The veteran WR has been at Nebraska since transferring from Texas at the end of the 2021 season.
This is rough news for a Nebraska squad that is already dealing with plenty of injury issues among its wideouts. Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda suffered a season-ending ACL tear in the first game of the season while Zavier Betts left the program just before the start of the year.
Now, it’s next man up. Rhule specifically mentioned that while this injury is unfortunate, it’s an opportunity for Malachi Coleman, Jaidyn Doss and Jaylen Lloyd to step up and earn some minutes on the field.
