Michigan State’s roster in 2021 will be laden with transfers and newcomers. Michigan State coach Mel Tucker believes running back transfer Kenneth Walker III is a prime example of a player who can make a major impact.
Tucker on Kenneth Walker III: “He’s a great addition. We saw him in the spring. He’s a difference-maker. He’s picked up where he’s left off.”

The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Walker III was previously at Wake Forest, where he totaled 1,158 yards and 17 touchdowns in his two seasons. Walker III has big-play potential, evident by touchdown runs of 96 yards and 75 yards.
The fact that Walker III performed well in the spring is a positive step that his production at Wake Forest can be replicated with the Spartans.
Heading into this season, Michigan State will have 14 transfer players (via 247Sports) and 33 newcomers in total.
Michigan State opens the season in primetime on Sept. 3 at Northwestern (9 p.m. EST/ESPN).
