Michigan State put the finishing touches on its 10-win season Saturday afternoon, outlasting Penn State during a snowstorm in East Lansing.

Payton Thorne scored 3 total touchdowns, Kenneth Walker III hit 135 yards rushing, and Jayden Reed reeled in a touchdown catch on 4th-and-15 late to secure the win. Michigan State also limited Penn State to 61 yards rushing and forced 2 Nittany Lion turnovers.

The win moved the Spartans to 10-2 on the year and it gave Michigan State an undefeated season inside Spartan Stadium. The 6-0 mark at home gives the Spartans their first undefeated season in East Lansing since 2015.

In addition to beating Penn State, Michigan State also knocked off Youngstown State, Nebraska, Western Kentucky, Michigan, and Maryland at home. After Saturday’s win, Mel Tucker gave a shoutout to Spartan Nation for sending out the seniors on a high note.

The Spartans will now wait to find out where they play in the postseason.
