Urban Meyer is sticking with his guy.
The Ohio State coach announced to the media on Wednesday that Cardale Jones will be the team’s starting quarterback on Saturday against Western Michigan. Meyer made the decision to announce the full-time starter after both struggled in Saturday’s victory against Northern Illinois.
Meyer on Cardale: "He is the guy – unless he doesn't play well."

Jones was benched after throwing his second interception, though J.T. Barrett wasn’t much more effective in his place. Meyer decided on Jones simply because Barrett has not beat him out for the starting job.
The Buckeyes have had just one touchdown pass in the two games since the season-opening victory against Virginia Tech.
Though Meyer declared Jones the outright starter, there’s no guarantee that Barrett still doesn’t see snaps under center. Wednesday’s announcement, however, all but squashed the notion that Meyer will be rotating them interchangeably.
