The coaching carousel never stops turning in the college football world. This season it seems as if we will never get off the ride, and the carousel will spin faster and faster until someone is left without a spot.

There have been rumors that Manny Diaz was going to be fired from Miami while donors from the University were actively going after Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal, a former Miami player and assistant coach.

On Monday morning, Miami announced that it has parted ways with Manny Diaz per Brett McMurphy of the Action Network.

In 3 seasons with the Hurricanes, Diaz was 21-15 and made a bowl game in all 3 seasons.

The Hurricanes this season were 7-5 and finished 2nd in the ACC Coastal division behind Pitt.

There have been no announcements on who the next Miami head coach will be. The rumors have all pointed to Oregon’s head coach Mario Cristobal being named the next Miami head coach. There has been no confirmation.

Miami is playing in the Sun Bowl on December 31 against Washington State at noon ET on CBS.
