Micah Parsons is off to an amazing start to the 2022 NFL season. Through the first few games, Parsons leads the league in sacks with 4 and has generated a lot of pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

His start has conjured up a question about his status in the NFL. Is Parsons the most dominant player in the NFL today?

During Wednesday’s ESPN broadcast of Get Up, Domonique Foxworth and Chris Canty weighed in.

“Micah Parsons, what he’s doing, we’ve been touting his numbers for the last several days. What he’s doing to offenses is making these Cowboys good,” Foxworth explained while admitting he sees Parsons as the most dominant defender in the league. “I think this team is competitive right now in large part due to Micah Parsons.”

Canty agreed with that assessment and touted Parsons’ full “tool bag” and work against larger offensive linemen:

“Micah Parsons has all the tools in the tool bag and he has the get-off to make offensive linemen break the square,” said Canty. “This is a guy that’s doing this at 250 lbs. against 300 lb. linemen. It just shows you the explosiveness he has.”

So far, the Penn State product has 4 sacks and 4 TFL, tops in the NFL. He also has 7 QB hits and 9 total tackles in the early going of the season.
