Michael Thomas has been listed as out on Sunday for the New Orleans Saints’ contest against the Minnesota Vikings, according to head coach Dennis Allen. Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reported the news.
Thomas suffered a foot injury in Week 3 in a game against the Panthers, where he had five catches for 49 yards. Thomas has since missed three consecutive practices but will likely return in Week 5.
After being a model of consistency in his first 4 seasons, missing just one game in that span, Thomas has been plagued by injuries recently. Nagging ankle injuries in 2020 and 2021 left him playing in just 7 games. In 2019, he set the record for most catches in a season with 149 while adding a NFL-leading 1,725 yards.
In three games this season, Thomas has had a respectable 16 receptions for 171 yards while also adding 3 touchdowns, which is tied for second in the NFL.
Thomas joins quarterback Jameis Winston (doubtful) on the injured list as the Saints travel to London to face the Vikings. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:30 EST.
Saints WR Michael Thomas will be OUT Sunday according to coach Dennis Allen.
