Michael Thomas is in a comeback bid to get back on the field for the New Orleans Saints. The former All-Pro receiver is looking good and continues to get positive updates on his path back to the lineup.
On Saturday, Saints head coach Dennis Allen revealed Thomas went through team drills and came out without any setbacks. Thomas’ work included going to the ground once but did not have any issues with that play.
Another positive step: #Saints coach Dennis Allen says WR Michael Thomas was in team drills for the first time and came out clean. He even went to the ground and had no issues. Progress.

Previously, Thomas called it a “blessing” to be able to get back into work during training camp with his old team. It sounds like there is still work to be done before a full clearance, but Thomas appears to be on track to getting back in the lineup.
After turning in an All-Pro season in 2019, Thomas was limited in 2020 before missing the entirety of the 2021 campaign. Hopefully he’s back in action early during the 20222 season.
