Michael Thomas is back in NFL action, and he was able to snap his long scoring drought in the season opener for the New Orleans Saints.

In the second half against the Atlanta Falcons, Thomas scored on a quick out route near the goal line. It was a short play overall, but a nice route by Thomas and a good throw by Jameis Winston.

The touchdown is the first of the season for Thomas, and it is his first regular-season touchdown since Week 16 of the 2019 season. Since that time, Thomas had a lone touchdown scored in the postseason of the 2020 campaign before missing all of 2021.

We’ll see if Thomas is able to stay healthy and productive in 2022. His route-running still looks to be in great shape if he can stay on the field for the Saints.
