Michigan has announced that its football game on September 11 against the Washington Huskies at 8:00 p.m. E.T. on ABC will be a “Maize Out.”
This will be an early test for Jim Harbaugh, who is in his seventh year as the head man in Ann Arbor. Harbaugh in the offseason signed a contract extension that goes through 2025.
Michigan is coming off a dismal 2020 campaign where they finished the season 2-4 and had their last three games canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

Washington is coming off a pretty strong year albeit they only played 4 games where they went 3-1. Due to the Pac-12 not starting their respective season until the beginning of November, the Huskies squeezed in a minimal number of games.
Washington had a few games as well canceled due to COVID concerns. The Huskies were set to play in the Pac-12 Championship Game against USC but had to drop out and, moving Oregon into the title game slot. Jimmy Lake is in his 2nd season with the Huskies after Chris Petersen gave the reigns to Lake following the 2019 season.
Harbaugh and the Wolverines look to get off to a better start this season and a win in primetime against a good Pac-12 North opponent may just be what the Wolverines need to get the ball rolling in 2021.
