Michigan announces Players of the Week for rivalry win over Michigan State

That was an incredible performance by the Wolverines Saturday.
Michigan entered the rivalry matchup with Michigan State desperate for a little payback after a loss to the Spartans in 2017. While the offense took a while to get rolling, Michigan’s defense stepped up with one of the most dominant performances so far this season.
The defense limited a struggling Spartans offense to less than 100 yards of total offense. Michigan State gained only 15 yards on the ground while starting quarterback Brian Lewerke had just five completions on the afternoon.
Following the dominating performance, Michigan Football announced Players of the Week on Monday. The entire defense was highlighted for its strong effort while Chase Winovich and Bryan Mone were recognized as Defensive Line Players of the Week.
Offensively, OL Ben Bredeson received Player of the Week honors. He anchored an offensive line that paved the way for 183 yards rushing and 395 yards of total offense.
