Michigan Board of Regents approve $14.8 million Football Performance Center

The University of Michigan will be building a new facility dedicated to the football program, thanks to the Board of Regents.
A $14.8 million Football Performance Center facility was approved by the Regents on Thursday, according to Mlive.com. The project was approved unanimously with no discussion. The new facility will be built inside Schembechler Hall.
The new facility will have spaces for training recovery and nutrition and will also house new meeting rooms, administrative space and staff locker areas.
For Michigan, this is another major upgrade that’s been approved in just the past few months. In February, the Regents approved a $21 million weight room for the football program.
Whether it’s the Jim Harbaugh effect, or just the tradition of Michigan football, this is another major addition for the program.
