It seems like we are headed in the right direction when it comes to pulling off Saturday’s Michigan-Ohio State game.

Though both teams have had their share of absences due to injury and COVID-19 protocol, the Wolverines had to cancel last week’s game because of it and left this matchup in question. But it appears Michigan has the situation under some control and is building toward returning to play.

Ideally, Harbaugh’s squad would be in full-on, normal practice preparing for its biggest game of the season against its toughest opponent yet. But this is 2020 and in this time, any sort of practice seems like a good thing for the Wolverines.

You have to think that Michigan is chomping at the bit to get back on the field and are taking any good news at this point. The Wolverines’ chances of doing anything significant when it comes to actual football are extremely limited. But there just has to be some hope of just playing.

It’s also good to remember that this could be Harbaugh’s final chance to pick up a win against Ohio State. It seems like a long shot on so many levels, but it certainly adds some intrigue to the latest iteration of the this rivalry.
