It wasn’t easy for the Michigan offense on Saturday, but the Wolverines delivered when they needed to on a game-clinching drive to get the 27-24 win against USC.
Trailing 24-20 with just over 4 minutes remaining, the Wolverines went 10 plays and 89 yards as Kalel Mullings scored on a 4th-and-goal from the USC 1 with 37 seconds remaining.
On that final drive, the Wolverines completed only 1 pass for 10 yards. Mullings on that drive alone carried the ball 8 times for 83 yards.

Mullings was the guy all day for Michigan, as he led the Wolverines with 159 yards on 17 carries and 2 touchdowns. Donovan Edwards also contributed in a big way in the ground game with another 74 yards and 1 touchdown.
Michigan is known as a team that is looking to establish the line of scrimmage, and the Wolverines did just that. With the win against USC, this is the 30th consecutive win for Michigan with at least 45+ carries. The Wolverines finished with 46 carries for 290 yards.
The passing game of Michigan was almost non-existent, as Alex Orji was only 7-of-12 for 32 yards.
The Wolverines will look to build off this win as they continue B1G play next week when they host the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
