Michigan added a major piece to its 2024 recruiting class on Sunday.
The Wolverines picked up a commitment from 4-star EDGE rusher Dominic Nichols. The Maryland product chose Michigan over programs such as Kentucky, Clemson, Wisconsin and Florida State, amongst others.

Nichols is a major pickup for Michigan. He’s the No. 433 overall player and the No. 28 EDGE in the country for the class of 2024, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 12 player from the state of Michigan.
He attends Oakdale High School in Maryland. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 252 pounds.
Nichols took an official visit to Ann Arbor earlier this month. He also took trips to Kentucky and Wisconsin before making his decision.
Michigan is building one of the top recruiting classes in the country. The Wolverines’ class now ranks No. 3 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Michigan has 23 commits already this cycle.
