On Saturday, the No. 19 Michigan Wolverines got the 20-13 win at home over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. They also got a commitment from a defensive standout from Alabama in the 2022 Recruiting Class.
3-star linebacker Deuce Spurlock made his commitment to play Michigan next season.

Spurlock ranks as a 3-star athlete and the 92nd-ranked athlete in the nation, and the 38th best player from Alabama, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Spurlock has had 27 offers from other schools, including Auburn, Boston College, Memphis, Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, South Alabama, South Carolina, Syracuse, Troy, UAB, Vanderbilt, and Washington State. Michigan is the only B1G program to offer Spurlock a scholarship and the only school where Spurlock made an official visit.
Spurlock is the 17th high school prospect to commit to the Michigan Wolverines for football in the 2022 National Recruiting Class. Michigan is currently ranked 15th in the nation in the 2022 recruiting process and the third-ranked B1G team, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
