Michigan picked up a major prospect in the class of 2024 on Saturday night.

The Wolverines flipped 3-star defensive lineman Deyvid Palepale from USC. Palepale had been committed to the Trojans since July, but instead plans to sign with Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class.

Here’s his announcement:

Palepale has offers from some of the top programs in college football. In addition to Michigan and USC, he’s been offered by the likes of Penn State, Auburn, Oklahoma and Florida, amongst others.

He’s a significant addition for the Wolverines in the class of 2024. Palepale is ranked as the No. 84 defensive lineman in the country for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Palepale has the size to potentially be an early contributor for Michigan. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 305 pounds. Palepale attends Manheim Township High School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Palepale is the 26th member of Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class. The Wolverines currently have a class that ranks in the top 20 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Here are some highlights from Palepale’s high school career:
