Michigan’s 2023 recruiting class is going international, picking up its 12th commitment Friday evening.

This time, the pledge comes from Aymeric Koumba, a 6-foot-4 and 230 lb. prospect out of Pionniers de Touraine in France. Koumba had drawn scholarship offers from Vanderbilt, Buffalo, UConn and East Carolina before committing to Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.

Koumba joins Michigan’s recruiting class that is currently ranked No. 36 nationally by the team recruiting rankings. That group includes a number of prospects along the defensive front, including Koumba, 4-star DL Enow Etta, 4-star ATH Collins Acheampong and 3-star DL Brooks Bahr.

It will be interesting to see how Koumba fits in and develops his game while in Ann Arbor.
