Michigan has completed a flip of Owen Wafle. The former Notre Dame commitment has pledged to the Wolverines.

Wafle took to Twitter on Sunday to announce his new commitment to play for Jim Harbaugh’s program:

Out of the Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey, Wafle is listed at 6-2, 290 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Wafle is rated 4-stars, the No. 8 New Jersey recruit, No. 41 defensive lineman and No. 406 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

On May 24, Wafle tweeted a note announcing his decommitment from Notre Dame:

“After much consideration and reflection, I have decided to decommit from Notre Dame. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the incredible coaching staff, the supportive fans, and the prestigious football program for their belief in me. This decision was not made lightly, as Notre Dame has a rich football legacy that I truly admire. However, I believe it’s important for me to explore other opportunities and find the best fit for my personal and athletic development.I want to thank my future teammates who welcomed me with open arms. It’s been an honor to get to know each and every one of you, and I wish you nothing but success on and off the field. As I embark on this new journey, I kindly ask for your understanding and respect. This decision was made in the best interest of my future and my dreams. I will continue to work tirelessly to achieve my goals and make an impact wherever I land. Thank you, Notre Dame, for the incredible opportunity. I will forever cherish the time spent here and the friendships I’ve made along the way. #NewBeginnings #FollowYourDreams”

Wafle is commitment No. 18 in Michigan’s loaded 2024 class. His highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:
