Michigan lands commitment from 3-star prospect, long DB out of Ohio for 2023

Michigan picked up another piece for the 2023 recruiting class Sunday evening.
This time, the commitment comes from D’Juan “DJ” Waller, a 6-foot-3 defensive back out of Youngstown, Ohio. Waller had generated offers from Kentucky, Toledo, West Virginia and Marshall among others before committing to the Wolverines.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Waller is a 3-star recruit and the No. 114 CB nationally for the class of 2023. However, at 6-foot-3, Waller already possesses elite size for the position at the next level.
With the Early Signing Period just a few days away, Michigan’s 2023 recruiting class is up to 20th nationally on the 247Sports Composite. That group features 20 commitments, including seven prospects with a 4-star rating.
