Michigan lands commitment from 4-star DL out of Georgia

Michigan beat out multiple SEC powerhouses for a 4-star defensive lineman on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolverines landed a commitment from Georgia native Julius Holly. In addition to his home-state Bulldogs, Holly also had offers from programs such as Ole Miss, Texas A&M and South Carolina, amongst others.

Holly is a massive addition for Michigan in the class of 2025. He’s the No. 301 overall player and the No. 22 edge in the country for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Holly attends Alpharetta High School in Alpharetta, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 230 pounds.
Michigan initially offered Holly a scholarship back in May, so things have moved quickly between the Wolverines and the 4-star lineman. Holly took an official visit to Ann Arbor earlier this month. He also visited Texas A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss and Stanford prior to making this decision.
Michigan is continuing to make significant progress on the recruiting trail in the class of 2025. The Wolverines, who had to rebuild much of its coaching staff this offseason, are now up to 13 commits in this cycle. The group ranks No. 15 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
