A second Michigan defensive player has entered his name into the transfer portal on Monday.

Per Angelique Chengelis of The Detroit News, linebacker William Mohan is exploring opportunities outside of Ann Arbor after one season at Michigan. He’s the second defensive player to hit the portal in the day, joining fifth-year defensive back Hunter Reynolds.

Mohan was a member of Michigan’s 2020 recruiting class and was a 3-star prospect out of Brooklyn, New York. He was ranked as one of the Top 500 overall athletes in the recruiting cycle.

In his lone season with the program, Mohan appeared in just one game, the season opener against Minnesota. He was credited with one tackle in the victory and did not play the rest of the season.

Because the NCAA granted a free year of eligibility for all student-athletes, Mohan will still have all four years of eligibility remaining.
