Michigan legend Charles Woodson is officially a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Woodson was officially inducted at the National Football Foundation Awards Dinner on Tuesday evening. The cornerback was the first primarily defensive player to win the Heisman Trophy, claiming the award in 1997.

Woodson had a spectacular career with Michigan, totaling 162 tackles and 18 interceptions during his career in Ann Arbor. He also put in work as a receiver and kickoff/punt returner.

His 1997 season was obviously the most memorable, as Woodson did just about everything on the field. He recorded 44 tackles and five tackles for loss. He intercepted eight passes and tallied nine pass break-ups. As a punt returner, he totaled 301 yards and a touchdown on 36 returns. As a receiver, Woodson hauled in 12 catches for 238 yards and two touchdowns.

After his memorable college career came to an end, Woodson went on to have a long, successful career in the NFL. He played in the league from 1998-2015, having stints with the Oakland Raiders (1998-2005 and 2013-2015) and the Green Bay Packers (2006-2012).

Woodson was a two-time All-American selection and a winner of multiple prestigious collegiate awards, including B1G Player of the Year, Jim Thorpe Award, Chuck Bednarik Award, Bronko Nagurski Award and Walter Camp Award.

In the NFL, Woodson was a Super Bowl Champion and a nine-time Pro Bowl selection.
