Michigan off to best start since Lloyd Carr era with 10-0 record entering Week 12

Michigan cemented its position among the College Football Playoff top 4 with a decisive 34-3 win over Nebraska on Saturday.
The No. 3 Wolverines have decimated their opponents, going 10-0 with two games remaining in the regular season. As Michigan picked up the win on Saturday, the Wolverines also garnered their first 10-0 start since 2006. It’s the best start since the era of legendary former head coach Lloyd Carr.

Carr coached the Wolverines from 1995-2007, amassing a 122–40 record. Carr led Michigan to multiple B1G titles in 1997, 1998, 2000, 2003, and 2004. Carr and the Wolverines went 20–8 against ranked opponents. The head coach was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
Michigan entered Week 11 possessing the 6th-ranked scoring offense in the nation (42.2 points per game) and the 4th-ranked rushing offense in the nation (250). Michigan will have its final home game of the 2022 season in Week 12 against No. 21 Illinois, followed by the B1G matchup with Ohio State to determine the B1G champion.
