A Michigan offensive lineman has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.
Chuck Filiaga, who made appearances in 39 games for the Wolverines during his career, has decided to enter the transfer portal and explore opportunities outside of Ann Arbor. He spent 4 years at Michigan.
MLive.com reported the news.
Filiaga will be a graduate transfer and will have 1 year of eligibility remaining. He has not publicly announced his decision to leave the program or what options he might be exploring next.
Filiaga appeared in at least 6 games each of the past 4 seasons with the Wolverines. He started during the 2020 season and entered the year in the starting rotation but battled injuries and growing competition along the offensive front. He made 8 starts for the Wolverines.
Michigan closed out the 2021 season with a 12-2 record, winning a B1G title. It was the first under head coach Jim Harabugh.
