Michigan isn’t lacking young quarterbacks.
Between Shea Patterson, Brandon Peters, Dylan McCaffrey and the newly signed Joe Milton, the Wolverines have plenty of talented underclassmen signal-callers.
Another one made his verbal pledge to join that crowded quarterback room.
Four-star 2019 quarterback Cade McNamara gave his pledge to the Wolverines on Friday night:
I have been waiting to find this place for a long time. I am very excited to announce I will be committing to the University of Michigan. #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/f37mCHhmXo
— Cade McNamara (@Cademac_12) March 17, 2018
That announcement came after McNamara made a weekend visit to Ann Arbor. He was previously committed to Notre Dame, but he dropped his commitment in the beginning of the month.
McNamara is the No. 9 pro-style quarterback and the No. 316 player overall in the 2019 class. The 6-1, 187-pound Reno, Nevada native is the top-ranked recruit in the state.
In addition to his Michigan offer, McNamara also has offers from Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, USC and others.
The Wolverines are off to a fast start in their 2019 class. They have six verbal pledges, and with McNamara, they now have five recruits rated 4-star or above.
Michigan currently has the No. 2 class in the B1G and the No. 5 class overall in the 247sports team rankings.
