Michigan’s participation in a documentary-style series that will air on Amazon in January is going to net the University a nice chunk of change.

According to Nick Baumgardner of the Detroit Free Press, Michigan is set to earn $2.25 million for its participation in the docu-series that’s covering the many aspects of the Wolverines football program.

The program is expected to be similar to Netflix’s “Last Chance U” and HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”

The series will be unscripted and is being produced by the Montag Group, Amazon and Big Ten Network. It will provide fans with an inside look at one of the most prestigious football programs in the country, highlighting practices, social events, academics and other things that come with being a student athlete.

According to Baumgardner, Michigan will also be able to make edits if necessary.

The series is set to air in January exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
