Michigan State landed a commitment from a 4-star Athlete on Wednesday. It is the 5th commitment from a 4-star prospect so far in the 2023 recruiting class.
The player is Demitrius Bell, a 6-foot-1 and 175 lbs. athlete out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He committed to the Spartans over offers from Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, Penn State and a host of other Power 5 programs.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Bell is the No. 8 prospect out of Tennessee for 2023 and the No. 23 ATH nationally. He is also the 333rd overall prospect nationally regardless of position.
With Bell’s commitment, Michigan State’s 2023 recruiting class is now up to 8 commitments and the No. 14 spot nationally on the team recruiting rankings. 5 of those prospects are rated 4-star prospects by the composite rankings.
The Mel Tucker effect appears to be real on the recruiting trail as the Spartans continue to build toward the future.
