Another piece of Michigan State’s future schedule is in place.

MLive.com reported on Tuesday that Michigan State has scheduled a home game against in-state MAC foe Eastern Michigan for the 2026 season. It will be played at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing on Sept. 12, 2026.

The game was listed in Eastern Michigan’s media guide and a spokesperson from MSU confirmed with MLive.com that the game is on the books. EMU will be the second MAC opponent the Spartans host that season, also playing Toledo on Sept. 5 in East Lansing.

Michigan State needs just one more game to close out its nonconference schedule for the 2026 season.

All-time, the Spartans are 10-0 all-time against Eastern Michigan. The most recent meeting came in 2014, a 73-14 victory for Michigan State.
